Who We Are and What We Do

Community Music Centers, featuring The Columbus Children's Show Choir, The Sing & Sign Chorus, the Community Music String Ensemble, and the Columbus Community Chorus is a community outreach program, offering affordable and sometimes FREE music, language, art, and typing programs at seven convenient locations in the central Ohio area.

Some classes are free.  For fee-based classes, children from mid to low income families can apply for a Columbus Recreation P.L.A.Y. grant for $20 towards one activity per session (about 7 weeks) at any Columbus Community Center.  Since many of our classes are $20 or less, the class would be FREE for a child who is a Columbus resident.  For non-residents, there is a 20% surcharge, but that would still only be $3 or $4 for a session.  Whether free or $4 or even $20, our classes are a BARGAIN.
